A Jail Pastor's Perspective
Walking into jail is daunting and intimidating, but when you see inmates glow because someone cared enough to tell the Good News, made Biblical stories come alive, and shared the hope of Jesus. You can see the hand of God. Their personal lives and dreams have been shattered, but they come alive when they learn that they can be redeemed - regardless of their troubled past or present situation. Inmates often have a genuine hunger for Jesus and the collective church should be embracing them.
Conducting Bible studies and jail church
We are in jail offering Bible studies or jail church to the inmates. It allows us an opportunity to show that the Gospel is for them - regardless of the past or criminal history. Lessons include:
Ministering to them while they are incarcerated is only the first step. If you are interested in becoming a jail pastor, please contact us for more information about how we can support you in your calling.
The primary cost of our ministry is the care packages with basic hygiene, a few days of food, and a local resources guide.
Do you have a sincere desire to share the good news? Ready to walk into a dark place to share God's light and love? If you are called to jail ministry, we'll support you.
We are seeking people to share the Gospel and the hope of Christ in a jail setting. If your church would be interested in helping us, we’d love to talk with you.
